Bench, Grippers, and a little 1HP was in order today.

All in all I am pretty happy with my lifts today. I tried pulling 91 lbs with my 1hp, but all I managed to do was hop it. Barely at that. That dead lift is a new number too btw. I think if my pansy ass body can't strict press a certain weight, I will push it up and slowly release it. Hopefully next week I can strict press the amount.

Workout 11/23/11
Bench Press, Hammer Curls, and Grippers today. I have been lifting weights for almost a year now. As I explained on a previous post, my numbers are not what I would like them to be and/or what they should be. That' totally my fault though. Just didn't train properly or with discipline. Today I FINALLY surpassed 200# on bench. It's a bit embarrassing, but I just haven't trained it much or with good form. Working my way up there though! Yeah for me.

11-21-11 Workout
Deadlifts, OHP, and Grippers. I suck at all of them, but I have dedicated myself to fix that problem. I have cheated at OHP by doing push presses all this last year. No more. Gonna be strict with these and build some real muscle so I can press even more strict.
My deadlift numbers haven't moved in months due to the fact I have stopped training them. Again, no more. Numbers are low, but will come up with diligence and proper training. Here is what today looked like.

I tried something new on the grippers today. I choked my 2.5 and closed once, marked it, repeat. I made every close count to the point of grinding them when I wasn't sure if it was closed. I did this till fail on both hands. I found it remarkably easy to close this gripper while closed. Shows me maybe my weak point is my set? You dinosaurs of grip lemmie know if my thinking is correct on that cool? Anywho, here is how it went:

Brew Day Kolsch
Brewed up a Kolsch today. My buddy wanted to give his folks a nice batch of beer for Christmas, so they picked a Kolsch. No vids or photos, but it's sittin' in my room ready to ferment! Man my house smells good!
My next door neighbor came over while we were brewing and he wanted to learn about the process. He seems convinced that he might want to do this, but we shall see.

Pain Glorious Pain
My calves feel like two tight pieces of meat. I'm sure the 290 Jumping Jacks I did yeasterday had absolutly nothing to do with that. Workout today will consist of 2HP, Grippers, and Hammer Curls. Light stuff today as I have a birthday party to go to for my Grandma! Mmmm, cake. Think I'll play some WoW.

Fatty MacFatterson Checking In!
My first post on my newish blog. I weigh too much. Trying to fix that. Here is what I did today.
Kettlebell and Jumping Jacks. I did a set of KB, waited 30 to 45 seconds, then did a set of JJs, waited 30 to 45 seconds... repeat for 25 minutes timed. After each set of exercises I closed a #2 each hand. I finished remaining time with Burpees.

I am so outta shape, but I feel good after this workout. Bringing diet in line slowly but surely. Not gonna stop drinking beer though. It's ok, I am only really drinking 1 every other night or so... and I try to have it with my meal around 5 or 6.
So I INTEND to update this blog fairly regularly, but I suck at that so we shall see.
